Testing designs for color-blindness - Zeldman

Visual impairments of any sort are an oft-overlooked aspect to useful and accessible web designs.

Whether the issue is serious degeneration (contrast is key), or relatively benign color-blindness, a design should be as carefully and thoroughly tested as the HTML and the IA.

To make this easier, Zeldman points out two very interesting tools: the Mac-only color-blindness simulating web browser Sim Daltonism, and the Colorblind Web Page Filter.

Combine these with normal contrast testing, and you’ve got a well-tested and thoughtful design.
